Q&A: Samuel Jackson on race, Trump and loving his job
NEW YORK: Samuel Jackson says he enjoys watching his own movies, and he thinks other actors should, too.
Jackson says stars who say they cannot watch themselves on screen should
get another job. Not watching their own performances, Jackson says, is
unfair to audiences.
Jackson stars in the upcoming action-comedy “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”
alongside Ryan Reynolds. The 68-year-old knows something about what
works on screen. He is estimated to be the highest grossing box-office
star, with nearly $5 billion in ticket sales over his career.
Jackson also recounted his experience playing golf with President Donald
Trump years ago. Jackson says golfers are supposed to police themselves
on the links, but Trump “did not really police himself very well out
there.”
